Sang Kancil and the Enchanted Forest

"Sang Kancil and the Enchanted Forest" is a Location-Based Virtual Reality (LBVR) Experience currently in pre-production. A collaboration with Maya Dance Theatre, it seeks to reimagine the popular Southeast Asian fable about the adventures of a clever mousedeer - as an immersive, interactive, and spatial VR experience. You will get to explore an enchanted forest filled with surprises and amusing characters, while helping the mousedeer find her way home to her family.

 

The project is supported by the stART (Sustain the Arts) Fund - a joint initiative by the National Arts Council Singapore, and private donors and corporations.  It is scheduled for completion and public activation in the later half of 2026.  We are currently seeking venue and event partners, and volunteers interested in playing a role in this unique project that blends art, technology, and storytelling.
